WE CREATE COMMUNITY-DRIVEN SOLUTIONS
FOR SOCIETAL CHALLENGES IN UGANDA
OUR MISSION:
To empower refugees, asylum seekers, and other displaced persons around Africa to overcome the burdens of deprivation and vulnerability to become healthy, educated, self-sustaining, and contributing members of society.
OUR IMPACT
Every year, YARID directly serves over 8,000 individuals through our community-centered programs.
This support impacts over 30,000 lives in both host, and refugee communities in Uganda.
OUR SUPPORT
Our programs are designed to empower individuals and families through targeted support. We focus on skill development for business, addressing urgent protection needs, job readiness, English language training, and equipping the next generation with digital skills through ICT. Additionally, we ensure refugee children receive quality education to build a brighter future.
OUR APPROACH
For 17 years, we have been dedicated to creating community-driven solutions that help refugees build resilient futures in Uganda. By identifying community needs and offering inclusive services and training for both refugees and host nationals, we work to foster a supportive and cohesive community for all.
