YARID CAMPAIGN:
FOR ALL WOMEN AND GIRLS
In 2024, we supported, trained, and provided
assistance to 5,312 women and girls in Uganda.
Our refugee-led programs are transforming lives. From vocational skills training to entrepreneurship, job training, and emergency food and medical support, women and girls make up the majority of those accessing our services. Below are four stories that highlight growth journeys of women from both displaced and host communities in Kampala.
Meet Asimwe Avine – Once a learner in YARID’s ICT program, now a Graphics Designer at Henrie Graphics Co. Ltd.
Meet Nancy Akot – A winner of YARID’s Youth Business Pitch Competition, now running TETE Poultry with a business grant.
